![]() |
Learning to
be a Sea Cadet is filled with challenges of the mind, body and soul. Cadets
realize that "easy" is not a word they are going to have in their
vocabulary. If it is easy, then you are not being challenged enough. A cadet
is directed in a manner that always has the cadet mastering new skills and
honing old ones. Cadets know the program is not easy. Central Iowa Division
has developed it's curriculum around constant improvement of the cadet's
abilities. The Climbing Tower in Marshalltown is one tool which combines many challenges to push a cadet to over come fear and realize they can do what it takes to accomplish a goal. To be a leader in the military or life a person has to understand the difference between what they can do and what they are afraid to do. They have to be able to overcome fear to succeed. |
