The Naval
Sea Cadet Corps and the US Coast Guard have enjoyed a good training
relationship over the past years. It is this partnership which has
given many Sea Cadets a chance to gain naval experience. The Coast
Guard handles a multitude of tasks. This multi-task ability allows
cadets prime opportunities for training.
Cadets Diggins and Jensen of Central Iowa spent
a TWT period at the coast guard base at Padre Island, Texas. They
participated in everything from boat maintenance, law enforcement and
small boat patrols as well as rescues. |
